Funeral services were held Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m., at the First Methodist Church in Many. Officiating was the Rev. W. H. Bengston, assisted by the Rev. Ira Peak of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Shreveport. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery in Florien, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lessie Hill, and Mrs. Agnes Gilpin, both of Shreveport; one son, D. H. Whittington of Natchitoches; four brothers, Ivy Anderson of Big Springs, Texas, Harvey Anderson of Lake Charles, Ozzie Anderson of Florien, and Joe Anderson of DeRidder; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Mahaffey of Florien; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Gilpin, John Whittington, Ricky Whittington, Gaymeil Kinchen, Bobby Nale, and Dudley Lang.
