George Washington Whittington

  Funeral services for George Washington Whittington, age 82, who
died May 6, was conducted at Prospect Methodist Church, at 4
p.m., May 8, with Rev. Oakley Lee officiating. Interment was in
the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his sons, Elwyn Whittington of Texarkana, Texas,
Horace Whittington of Houston, Ben D. Whittington of Los Angeles,
Calif., Leotis LeMasters of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters, Mrs.
A. M. Brownlee of Beaumont, Mrs. Y. C. Jordon Maplewood, Corpus
Christi, Texas; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
