Mr. James Asa Withers

  Mr. James Asa Withers, 86, of Many died Friday, Dec. 5.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at Lewing Chapel
Church with interment following at Lewing Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel
Lowe, the Rev. Charlie Lockwood and the Rev. Wayne Grisby officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Iva Lea Withers of Fisher; two sons, James
G. Withers of Fisher and David H. Withers of Florien; two daughters, Jannette
Thaxton and Barbara Thaxton, both of Fisher and Brenda Windham of Many; 11
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Shannon Dyess, Brian Miller, Scott Miller, Eddie Jones,
Jr., Jeff Lewing, Tim Anthony, Elton Savell, Vic Ortiz and Brian Sepulvado.
Honorary pallbearers were Dobber Windham, Chuck Withers, Mackie Thaxton, Roy
Windham, Lamar Hayes and Johnny Barbar.
