W. W. Withers

  Funeal services for W. W. Withers, 80, of Plainview, were held
Thursday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m., in the Prewitt Chapel Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Glen Flenniken, and the Rev. Kenneth Baggs officiating.
Interment was in the Prewitt's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Withers died in Many Tuesday, Jan. 18, after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Laura Withers of Plainview;
one daughter, Mrs. T. L. Slaughter of Plainview; two brothers, Johnnie
Withers of Many, and Asa Withers of Fisher; one sister, Mrs. Minnie
Hayes of Beaumont; and one grandson, Marcelle Withers.

  His body was in the home of his daughter until service time Thursday.
