Mrs. Laura Madlin Withers

  Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Madlin Withers of Hornbeck, were
conducted Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m., in the Prewitt Chapel
Baptist Church. Bro. Dean Crittenden officiated, and interment
followed in the Prewitt Chapel Cemetery.

  Mrs. Withers died at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, at 11
a.m., Monday, November 14, 1983. She was 83.

  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Evilene Slaughter,
Hornbeck; one grandson, Marcelle Slaughter, Hornbeck; and a host
of nieces and nephews.
