Johnny Jefferson Withers

  Johnny Jefferson Withers, 83, of Many, died in the Sabine
Medical Center, at 1:50 a.m., on Oct. 23, 1985.

  Services were held at the First United Pentecostal Church of
Many, at 11 a.m. Bro. C. J. Walea, and Bro. Rudolph Hennigan
officiated the ceremony. Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives included his wife, Mrs. Rena Goodman Withers
of Many; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Stringer of Many; one
son-in-law, Mr. James Stringer of Many; two granddaughters,
Sherry Stringer of Many, and Pat Cook of Shreveport; one
grandson, James G. Stringer of Shreveport; two great grandsons,
Dustin Stringer of Shreveport, Rhodrick (Speedy) Cook of
Shreveport; one brother, Asa Withers of Fisher; daughter-in-law,
Mable Withers of Shreveport; and a host of nieces and nephews.
