Francis A. Withers

  Mr. Francis Ashley Withers, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 8
a.m., after an extended illness in Many.

  Mr. Withers served 55 years as a Mason (32 degree Mason).
Masonic rites were held at graveside.

  Services were held in the Bonnet Chapel, Sunday, Feb. 27, at
2:30 p.m., with the Rev. G. O. Walker officiating. Burial was in
the McInnis Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors are three sons, Ray Withers of Bessemer, Ala., F. A.
Withers Jr. of Leesville, and Harvey Dale Withers of Fullerton,
Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Jones of Zwolle, Mrs. Glenna
Mae Eason of Many, Mrs. Irene Garrison of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs.
Clarice Williams of Coco Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Arlene Morton of
Shreveport; one brother, Mack Withers of Centerville, Ala.; one
sister, Mrs. Annie Cooper of Oakdale; 25 grandchildren; and 22
great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Merhon Lee Jones, Robbie Perry, Billy
Doolittle, Wayne Eason, Bobby Withers, and Dickie Jones.
