Mrs. Katie Lavelle Fox Welborn

  Mrs. Katie Lavelle Fox Welborn, 59, of Mansfield, died Thursday,
July 23, in Mansfield.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 26, at
Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at
Pelican Cemetery. The Rev. G. L. Burr, pastor of Community
Baptist Church, officiated, and the Rev. Kevin Taylor, pastor of
Provencal Baptist Church, assisted.

  Survivors include her husband, Henry Welborn Jr. of Mansfield;
two daughters, Dee Burr and husband Wayne of Mitchell, and Renaye
Collins and husband Buddy of Zwolle; five sons, Jeff Burson and
wife Edie of Charlotte, N. C., Dale Fox and wife Faye of
Provencal, Ricky Smith and wife Cindy of Keithville, Michael
Welborn and wife Shelly of Dallas, Texas, and Rodger Welborn of
Searcy, Ark.; mother, Mrs. Mary Fox of Mitchell; three sisters,
Vernell Desadier of Natchitoches, Shirley Graves of Pleasant
Hill, and Earline DeSoto of White Oaks, Texas; one brother,
Thomas Junior Fox of Grand Cane; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Bruce O'Bannon, Rod Lewis, Bill Graves, Shane
Graves, Tony Bufkin, and Mike Kelly.
