Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 at Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Father Donald Thomas officiated. Burial followed at Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly. Mr. Welch was a native of Raleigh, Miss. and a resident of Sulphur for 32 years. He worked 15 years as an operator for Vista Chemical. A retired senior master sergeant of the United States Air Force, a veteran of Vietnam and the Korean Conflict and a member of VFW Post number 107 of Sulphur. Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. Welch of Sulphur; one son, Wesley Welch of Houston, Texas; four daughters, Barbara Ann Davis of Sulphur, Beverly Gail Creech of Lake Charles, Brenda Caren Jones and Bonnie Ruth Kurten of Sulphur; one brother, Bernice Welch of Pineville, Miss.; two sisters, Ruth Parker of Bay Springs, Miss., and Nadine Maxwell of Jackson, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and one-greatgrandchild.
