Wells of Shreveport, died Friday, Dec. 3, in Barksdale Air Force Base Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Wells, 59, was a welder for AMF Beaird Co. He was a member of Florien Lodge F&AM, and a veteran of both World War II, and the Korean War. He was retired from the United States Army. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church. A native of Pickering, he had lived in Shreveport about five years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Wells, Shreveport; two sons, Theodore, and McConathy Wells, both of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Werts, Turkey, and Mrs. Billie Wilson, Hawaii; two brothers, Cecil Wells, California, and R. C. Wells, Alaska; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Lewing, Hornbeck, and Mrs. Carl Westfall, Rosepine. Funeral services were held Sunday, in the Westside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Billy McCormick, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park West, with military graveside rites. He was a son-in-law of Mrs. J. F. Smith of Toro.
