Funeral services were held Monday, Apr. 28, at 10 a.m., in the Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ken Goode officiating, assisted by the Rev. Vessie Prewitt. Burial was in the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery, directed by Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include five sons; Wilbur, A. J., and Kenneth Wilson of Hornbeck, E. J. Wilson of Shreveport, and Troy Wilson of Port Arthur; six daughters, Evaleen Wilson, Mrs. Sandra Owens, and Mrs. Nell Cunningham of Hornbeck, Mrs. Eloise Arthur of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Mrs. Mattie Browning of Dodson, and Mrs. Mary Royals of Ft. Worth; three brothers, Hollis Chance of Hornbeck, Ed Chance of Leesville, and John Chance of California; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtis Savell of Florien, Mrs. Mina Bridges of Hornbeck; 32 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Emmitt Farmer, Dewey Rutherford, Wallace Savell, Wallace Bridges, Dan Chance, and Purvis Chance.
