The Sabine Index - Freeman Walker 
  
  11 Sep 1959 - Funeral services for Freeman Walker, 84, of 
Belmont were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Beulah Baptist 
church with the Rev. Alfred Mitchell officiating. Burial was in 
the church cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral home. 
  
  Mr. Walker died Monday in a Shreveport hospital. 
  
  Survivors include his widow; six sons, Pearce, Hoy, and Salter 
Walker of Belmont, J. C. and Paul Walker of Negreet and Leon 
Walker of Newton, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Ina Arthur, Mrs. 
Carl Salley and Miss Maude Walker of Belmont, Mrs. W. H. Brumley 
of Forest and Mrs. Bertie Barnhill of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. 
J. C. Harrington of Hunting, Texas; 30 grandchildren and 17 great 
grandchildren.
