The Sabine Index - Amanda Green Walker

  8 Aug 1947 - Last rites or Mrs. Amanda Green Walker, age 85
years, were conducted 4 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher by Rev. W. G.
Barnard, pastor Fisher Baptist church. She died at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Susie Lester at Gandy, following a long
illness.

  Surviving relatives are one son and three daughters, Mrs. Susie
Lester, Gandy, Will Walker, Gandy, Mrs. Beulah Hennigan,
Leesville, Mrs. B. C. Wimberly, Vivian; 20 grandchildren and a
host of great-grandchildren.

  The funeral was directed by Massingill funeral home.
