Mrs. Audrey Walker

  Mrs. Audrey Walker, 61, of Shreveport, died in Shreveport on
Monday, Sept. 15, at 1 a.m., following a short illness.

  Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Paul R. Walker of
Shreveport; a son, Carson L. Edwards; and a sister, Mrs. J. C.
Slaughter, and three brothers, E. J. Browning, all of Florien, C.
A. Browning of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and E. H. Browning of
Shreveport; and four grandchildren.

  Mrs. Walker, the former Audrey Edwards, was a native of Peason
community. She had resided in Shreveport for the past 30 years,
where she was employed by the Caddo Parish School Board. She was
a member of the Morningside Baptist Church, and the Order of
Eastern Star.

  Funeral services were held at the Pine Grove Baptist Church on
Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Glen Flenniken
officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
