Myrtie Walker

  Services were held for Mrs. Myrtie Walker, 82, Rt. 2, Mansfield,
at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, at the Bethel Congregational
Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Foster Jennings
officiated, assisted by Rev. John Barbee. Burial was in Ajax
Cemetery near Marthaville.

  Mrs. Walker, a native of Sabine Parish, and a resident of
Mansfield for 4 years, died at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, at DeSoto
General Hospital in Mansfield, after a brief illness.

  She is survived by three sons, Bruce D. Walker of Longview,
Tex., Elmer R. Walker of Coushatta, and Wayne W. Walker,
Pasadena, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Binning of Mansfield;
fifteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
