C. J. Walker

  Services for Mr. C. J. Walker, 74, of Ajax, La., were held
Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m., in the Rockett-Nettles Funeral
Home Chapel. Brother Foster Jennings officiated. Burial was in
the Ajax Cemetery.

  He died Tuesday, March 13, 1984, at his residence.

  Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Cutright Walker of
Ajax; three daughters, Mrs. Gale Whalen, Mrs. Sallie Lee, and
Mrs. Sandra Bolton, all of Shreveport; one son, C. J. Walker III
of Minden; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Berry of Pleasant Hill, La.,
Mrs. Fannie Smith of Shreveport, and Mrs. Opal Durrett of
Kilgore, Texas; nine grandchildren; and three great
grandchildren.
