Walker Leslie Walker, 85, of Camden, Arkansas, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, Ark. He was born March 10, 1915, in Ouachita County, to Will J., and Effie Purifoy Walker. He was a lifelong resident of Camden, and was a founding member of Timothy United Methodist Church. He retired from International Paper Company in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Inice May Walker; and two brothers, Garland B. Walker, and J. Albert Walker. Survivors include two sons, L. Tom Walker of Many, and Michael E. Walker of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Rita May McClure of Hot Springs, Ark., and G. Sue Weaver of Camden, Ark.; two sisters, Helyn W. Stover, and Melissa W. Davies of Camden, Ark.; one brother, W. Therman Walker of Somerset, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 24, at Timothy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Blake Lasater officiating. Pallbearers were his grandsons. Proctors Funeral Home of Camden was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity, or Timothy United Methodist Church, 1800 California, Camden, Arkansas, 71701.
