Leon Walker

  Leon Walker, 90, of Kirbyville, Tex., died Sunday, July 16, at
Abalone Place.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, at the
E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Burial followed in the
Trout Creek Cemetery.

  A native of Angelina County, he had lived in the Kirbyville area
32 years, and was a retired saw mill laborer.

  Survivors include his wife, Merlie Meshell Walker of Kirbyville;
two daughters, Myrtle Brewer of Spurger, and Lavern Odom of
Kirbyville; one brother, J. C. Walker of Many; three sisters,
Helen Salley of Belmont, Berdie Barnhill of Shreveport, and
Ninnie Brumley of Oak Grove.

  Mr. Walker is also survived by five grandchildren.
