Walker, 72, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 13, at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Douglas Burnley, the pastor of Janet Lane Baptist Church. Interment was at Zwolle Cemetery in Zwolle. Mr. Walker died Wednesday, September 11, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home, after a brief illness. He was born in Florien, and had been a resident of Shreveport since 1944. Mr. Walker was a retired shop foreman for Craigs International Equipment Co. He was a Baptist, and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Inez Walker of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Johnson of Shreveport; one brother, Robert F. Walker of Benton; one niece, Annette Willett of Baton Rouge; three great nephews, James Eason of Zwolle, David Adams, and Scotty Adams, both of Shreveport.
