Mr. David Varnell Walker

  Mr. David Varnell Walker, 77, died at Schumpert Medical Center,
on Sunday, Jan. 16, 1994.

  Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, at
Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Joe Thibeaux.

  Mr. Walker was a resident of this area for many years. He was
retired from the Illinois Central Railroad.

  Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Cecil Ross Walker; daughter,
Glenda and Charles Schumann of Greenwood, La.; son, David and
Alice Walker of Bossier City; grandchildren; Linda and Danny
Sturtz of Karnack, Tex., Frances and Jamie Brewster of Elysian
Fields, Tex., Walter Charles Schumann Jr. and Joy of Shreveport,
David Kline Schumann Sr. and Jennifer of Bethany; great
grandchildren, Destiny Ann Knotts, Dannielle Lynn Knotts, and Dee
Marie Knotts of Karnack, Tex., Christopher James Brewster,
Benjamin Joseph Brewster, and Michael Kyle Brewster of Elysian
Fields, Charles Andrew Schumann, Marjorie (Anna) Brianna
Schumann, and David Kline Schumann Jr. of Bethany, La.; brother,
Ralph Clark Walker of Satellite Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and
nephews.
