Mr. J. C. Walker, Sr.

  Mr. J. C. Walker Sr., 86, of Many, died Monday, Nov. 2, at
Sabine Medical Center.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Beulah
Baptist Church, with interment following at Beulah Cemetery. The
Rev. Jerry Penfield, and the Rev. I. W. Ferguson officiated.

  Mr. Walker was born July 29, 1912, to Freeman F. Walker, and
Nancy Salter Walker.

  Survivors include his children, Betty Oxley of Negreet, Benny
Walker of Milam, Texas, Bobbie Wynn of Houston, Texas, Sarah
Pilcher of Zwolle, and Donnie Walker of Coushatta; 15
grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild; and three sisters, Ninnie Brumley of Oak Grove,
Berdie Barnhill Blanchard, and Helen Salley of Belmont. Mr.
Walker was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two
sisters; one son, J. C. Walker Jr.; one grandson, Billy Walker
Cryer; and the mother of his children, Doris White Walker Byrd.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons and great grandsons, Thomas Cryer
Jr. Cade Pilcher, Jakey Oxley, Jarrett Rule, Bradford Walker,
Lennis "Beau" Rice Jr., Joey Migues, and Josh Crow.
