Clifton G. Walden

  Clifton G. Walden, 71, of Houston, died Thursday, Apr. 8, in Houston,
after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Saturday,
Apr. 10, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. H. H. Tibbits, and the Rev. Robert
C. Martin officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving Mr. Walden is a daughter, Mrs. Marie Urick of Houston; four
brothers, Albert and Celers Walden of Many, A. G. Walden of Zwolle, and
Odis Walden of Mansfield; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dew of Florien, Mrs.
Selma Tatum of Shreveport, and Mrs. Velda Turner of Chattanooga, Tenn.;
and one grandchild.

  Pallbearers were Lonnie Chambers, Truitt Walden, Marion Durr, Fred Durr,
Leslie Rains, and Morris Adair.
