Mrs. Ora Weldon

  Mrs. Ora Weldon, 73, of Mt. Carmel, died Saturday, April 29,
at 9:15 a.m., after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives are one son, Ray Weldon of Florien; three
daughters, Mrs. Fay Floyd of Pineland, Tex., Mrs. Etna Casula of
Laurel, Md., and Mrs. Ginny Edwards of Lake Charles; four brothers,
Monroe, and Roy Skinner of Florien, Jeff Skinner of Coushatta; seven
sisters, Cora Smith, Elta Wyatt, Exie Anderson, Melva Curry, Iberia
Mothershed, and Bessie Weldon, all of Florien, and Mrs. Pearlie
Dupree of Logansport; 18 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday, May 1, at 2 p.m., in the Mt.
Carmel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Phil Tisdell, and the Rev. Mack
Brister officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Phillip Weldon, Ernest Jessup, Lynn Weldon, Chris
Casula, Pat Casula, and Jimmy Jessup.
