The Sabine Index - Dave L. Walden 
  
  28 Jan 1949 - Funeral rites for Dave L. Walden, who passed away 
at a Shreveport hospital last Thursday, were conducted at Mt. 
Zion Baptist church at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. Jerry Schmucker, 
pastor Converse Baptist church, assisted by Rev. W. M. Greer, 
pastor Calvary Baptist church of Many. Interment followed under 
direction Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Surviving relatives include: wife, Mrs. D. L. Walden of Mt. Zion 
community; sons, Cody and Doyle of Shreveport, DeVance of 
Houston, Texas; daughters, Mrs. W. H. DeKeyzer, Port Arthur, 
Texas, Mrs. J. H. Harris, Converse, Mrs. F. I. Wright, Many; 
brothers, Bud Walden, Converse; sister, Mrs. Frank Veuleman, 
Many; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
