Walden Services for Minward Lee Walden, 69, of Converse, were held Friday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m., in the Converse Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard May officiating. Bro. Jerry Schumber, and Alvin Strother assisted. Burial with Masonic Rites was in the Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Mr. Walden was a Mason, Shriner, and Eastern Star. He died Thursday, Dec. 11, of a sudden illness. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Paula Burnitt of Converse, and Connie Lecza of Shreveport; two brothers, Curtis Walden of Converse, and James Walden of San Diego, Calif., and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cecil Brumley, R. R. McDonald, Albert Ott, Hughes Patrick, Lindsey Stephens, C. B. Tanner, Jim Thames, and Homer Townsend. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Converse.
