Weldon, 90, died Sunday, June 4, 2000 at her residence in Many. She was born Aug. 21, 1909 in Sabine Parish. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, June 5 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Leach and the Rev. Joe Chance officiated. Survivors include one daughter, Billie Lou Luster of Many; one son-in-law, Joe Luster of Many; two sisters, Evelyn Dees of Many and Josephine Leach of Shreveport; five grandchildren, Mike Luster, Patty Lahr, Barbara Lahr, Bonny Lahr and Bill Lahr; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dewey T. Weldon and daughter, Myrtle Eloise Lahr. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Red River Hospice and two special friends, Gwen Cook and Terri Hickman.
