Edna Julia Weldon

  Mrs. Edna Julia Weldon of Florien, died Tuesday, March 1, 1983,
at 9 a.m., at her residence in the Mt. Carmel Community, after a
short illness. She was 72.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2, at 11 a.m., in
the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Billy Wood
officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The services
were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  She is survived by her husband, Mr. Andrew J. Weldon of the Mt.
Carmel Community; two sons, Andrew (Bud) Weldon, Jennings, and
Swepson Weldon, Keithville; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Cobbs,
Keithville, and Mrs. Genevieve Stewart, Porter, Tex.; two
sisters, Mrs. Gracey Evans, Fisher, and Mrs. Hazel Lucius Toro;
11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
