Mrs. Mary Vina Walden

  Services for Mrs. Mary Vina Walden, 75, of Converse, were held
at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2, in the First Baptist Church of
Converse. The Rev. James Miller, and the Rev. Jerry Schmucker
officiated. Burial was in Converse Cemetery, under the direction
of Drewett Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Walden died Friday, Jan. 31, 1986, in DeSoto General
Hospital. Born Dec. 29, 1910, she was a lifelong resident of
Converse.

  She was survived by one son, Roy Cates; one grandson, Dr. R.
Thomas Cates, both of Lake Charles; one brother, W. P. Moore; and
two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Sistrunk, and Mrs. Gladis Raimond, all
of Converse.

  Pallbearers were Mike Sistrunk, Wilson Raimond, Timmy Raimond,
Hubert Brumley, Charles Smith, Paul Burnitt, and Kenny Herrin.
