Ira D. Weldon

  Funeral services for Ira D. Weldon, 79, were held on Thursday,
October 6, at 10 a.m., at the Cenchrea Church of the Nazarene.

  Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

  Bro. Paul Wankel, Bro. J. D. Shaw, and Bro. Ron Berry
officiated.

  Mr. Weldon passed away on October 4, 1994, in Florien.

  Mr. Weldon was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Weldon
Parker; and grandson, Philip Welch.

  Survivors are his widow, Iris Stewart Weldon of Florien; one
son, Jimmie Weldon of Anacoco; one sister, Mrs. Bertie Taylor of
Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Cheryl O'Neil of Lake Charles;
Steve Parker, Tonya Alford, Tim Parker, John Parker, Monnette
Slaughter, and Valerie Bell, all of Florien; ten great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Dennis Weldon, Gerald Thaxton, Tony Stewart,
Glen Stewart, Doug Thaxton, Mark Stewart, Joe Stewart, and John
David Thaxton.

  Honorary pallbearers were Steve Parker, Tim Parker, John Parker,
Randy Alford, Jeff O'Neil, Keith Slaughter, and Wade Bell.
