(Red) Walters, 72, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Rose-Neath Coushatta Chapel. The Rev. G. A. Spears, and the Rev. Bill Hines officiated. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery. He died at 3:45 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Huckabay Hospital in Coushatta, after a short illness. Mr. Walters was a retired cattleman and merchant. He was a former Sabine Parish resident. Survivors include his widow, Ethel Walters of Coushatta; two sons, Dean Walters, and Ronnie Lynn Walters Sr., both of Coushatta; one daughter, Jackie Sue Scoggins, Palestine, Tex.; three sisters, Grace Crawford of Yazoo City, MI., Stella Avery of Truth or Consequences, N. M., Babe Evans of Amarillo, Tex.; two brothers, Dan Walters of Warren Tex., and Doyle Walters of Fort Worth, Tex.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were S. M. Morgan, Ivy Messick, Garland Peterson, Ernest Harper, Jimmy Scoggins, David Scoggins, Kirwin Brown, and Dr. Wyche Coleman.
