Walther were held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 22, 1993, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating was the Rev. Garland C. Dean. Burial followed in Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Walther died Tuesday, January 19, 1993, in Pittsburg, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Kinder, La., was a former resident of Shreveport, La., and had resided in Pittsburg, Texas for 1 1/2 years. Mrs. Walther was an accounting bookkeeper for L. L. Sugar and Arnold Pipe and Supply. She was a member of Noel Memorial United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mrs. C. J. Walther. Survivors include one son, C. J. Walther Jr. of Pittsburg, Texas; one daughter, Betty W. Puckett of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Lillian Vatter of West Monroe, La., Elsie James of Houston, Texas; one brother, Curtis Carradine of Florien, La.; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. R. Walther, Ryan Walther, Dr. Thomas Linn, Terry Vasut, J. P. Wyatt, and Thomas Carradine.
