Williamson, 80, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, Nov. 25 at a Lake Charles hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28 at First Baptist Church in Lake Charles with interment following at Toro Cemetery in Toro. Dr. David Whitlock, the Rev. Gayln M. Alien, Dr. Leonard Sanderson and the Rev. Roy Dowden officiated. A native of St. Maurice and a resident of Lake Charles since 1948 Mr. Williamson was a U.S. Army and National Guard veteran. He served in WWII in Battery H. 204th. He was a member of Masonic Calcasieu Lodge #400, where he was a Past Master and a 32nd Degree Mason in Scottish Rites. He was also a Habibi Temple Shriner where he was Past Imperial Potentate Aide. A member of Lake Charles First Baptist Church since 1951, he served as an usher. He was also a member of Operators Union Local #407. Mr. Williamson retired in 1982 from Olin Chemical Plant as an operator after 34 years of service. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marnee Dowden Williamson, Lake Charles; three sons, Mr. Judge Roy Williamson and Mr. Ernest Earl Williamson, both of Lake Charles and Mr. Dennis Gerard Williamson of Moss Bluff; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Sandra) Price of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one brother, Mr. Lloyd E. "Cotton" Williamson of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Wilcox of Biloxi, Miss. and Mrs. Lossie Creed of Dry Prong; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. J. E.
