All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Naomi Otis Williams 17 Mar 1933 - Miss Naomi Otis Williams, a popular member of Many's younger set, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Williams. Funeral services were arranged for Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Many cemetery, conducted by the Rev. J. M. Pate, pastor of the Many Baptist church. A host of relatives and friends, including a large out-of-town assembly are preparing to attend the funeral. Miss Williams was born August 19, 1907, at Florien, where she received her high school education. She attended Louisiana State normal and Arkansas university. At the time of her death she was a popular teacher of Many high school, that institution being closed Tuesday for the funeral. Surviving are her parents, five brothers, Herald, J., Herbert O., S. J. Jr., Carl and George Harmon; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Cheney and Miss Leona, the latter being a twin.
