Andrew J. Williams

  Andrew Jackson Williams, 77, died Tuesday, June 3, in a Houston
hospital, of a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Hemphill,
Tex.

  Services were held at 2:30 p.m., in the Starr Funeral Home
chapel, with the Rev. Richard Bass, the Rev. James Young, and the
Rev. Eldon Jones officiating.

  Burial was in Harper's Chapel Cemetery.

  Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Cudd of El
Campo, and Mrs. Gloria Crowell of Jasper; four brothers, Monroe
Williams of Woodville, Curtis Williams of Shreveport, Manuel
Williams of Lake Village Ark., and J. W. Williams of Cooper
Center, Alaska; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Polke of Hemphill, Mrs.
Alice Jones of Silsbee, Mrs. Rosie Jones of Woodville, Mrs. Mary
Speight, and Mrs. Pearlee Anthony, both of Many, La.; seven
grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
