Williams, 62? died late Saturday, July 12, at his residence in Winthrop, Ark., following an extended illness. He was a native of Florien, but had lived the past 10 years in Winthrop, and was an employee of Brown and Root Construction Co. He was a veteran of World War II. Services wer at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in the First Baptist Church in Winthrop, burial was in the Camp Ground Cemetery, under the direction of the Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorene Gish Williams of Winthrop; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Naomi Wright of Jasper, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. John R. Stewart of Statesville, N. C.; three brothers, H. J. Williams of Shreveport, Carl L. Williams of Corpus Christi, Tex., and George H. Williams of Winthrop; and two grandchildren.
