Herbert Williams

  Herbert J. Williams, 80, of Shreveport, died Sunday, Oct. 24, at
11:30 p.m., after a short illness.

  Funeral services were held in the Warren Meadows Chapel,
Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m., with Glen Hardy, and Mack Hayes
officiating. Interment was in the Strickland Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Williams of Shreveport;
two daughters, Mrs. Martha Raye Bordelon, and Ann Strickland of
Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Williams Simmons of
Natchitoches; one brother, A. G. Williams of Laurel, Miss.; four
grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Kelly Strickland, Eddie Joe Strickland, Randy
Strickland, Jerry Strickland, Roe Neal Strickland, and Johnny
Roberts.
