Williams of Zwolle, died on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 3:35 p.m., in the Veteran's Hospital in Shreveport, following an extended illness. He was 54. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lonnie Williams of Zwolle; two sons, James L. Williams, and Daniel E. Williams, both of Zwolle; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Ebarb of Zwolle; three brothers, Henry Williams of Kirbyville, Tex., Leone Williams of Silsbee, Tex., and Edward Williams of Bakersfield, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Dovie Pliler of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Minnie Cartinez of Zwolle, Mrs. Winnie Simmons of Marthaville, Mrs. Clotilde Anderson of Coushatta, and Mrs. Linda Brown of Kirbyville, Tex., and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m., at the Bethsadia Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. Officiating at the service were the Rev. John Earnest, and the Rev. Cones. Serving as pallbearers were Ravell Youngblood, Preston Williams, Jimmy Williams, Mickey Miller, Earnest Simmons, and Kenneth Armstrong.
