Williams, were held Thursday, May 6, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Florien, with Rev. Bill Foil officiating. Burial was at Florien Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Williams of Florien died Tuesday, May 4, at 5:05 p.m., at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many, due to an extended illness. He was 78. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eddie Mae Cook Williams of Florien; three sons, Ross G. Williams, and David E. Williams, both of Florien, and William H. Williams of Muskogee, Okla.; a brother, K. Merald Williams of Greenville, S. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Lefkovits of Zwolle, and Miss Lovie Williams of Florien; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mark Dover, Tom B. Phillips, Ralph McLanahan, W. L. Dees, Archie Arthur, and W. G. Lilly.
