Mrs. Williams' nephew, the Rev. Roy Dowden, and the Rev. Mack Brister will officiate. Burial will be in the Florien Cemetery. Visitation starts at 4 p.m., Tuesday, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Mrs. Williams will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m., Thursday, until service time. Mrs. Williams, the widow of the late Edward Leroy Williams Sr., died Monday morning, March 7, 1983, at the Fraser Hospital North in Many, after a lengthy illness. Mr. and Mrs. Williams owned and operated Williams General Merchandise and Bus Station in Florien for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Florien, past President and Associational Superintendent of the W. M. U., and was a past Worthy Matron of the Mt. Carmel Chapter No. 3 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth L. Williams of Leesville. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Zelma Williams Ritter of San Mateo, Calif.; two sons, Edward L. Williams, Jr. of Bossier City, and J. Curtis Williams of Shreveport; one sister, Sybil Farrell of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends. Pallbearers will be Tony McDonald, Lester Clements, Curtis Bryan Williams, Ross Williams, Richard Dupree, Mark Dover. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. S. F. Fraser, Max Dover, Fern Dowden, Carl Dowden, E. K. Bennett, John Carleton, and Clayton Mitchell.
