Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Fondel Funeral Home from Lake Charles. Her body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Mrs. Williams was the former Emma Barrett. She died Sunday, August 14, 1983, at 9:30 p.m., at the Charity Hospital in Lake Charles, after a long illness. She died at the age of 107 years, 11 months, 18 days. She leaves to mourn, four children. Two daughters, Mrs. Nourie Lee Carhee of Many, and Mrs. Bessie Mae Gamble of DeRidder; two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Albert, and John L. Williams, both of Lake Charles; 27 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. We loved her but God loved her best. Mrs. Emma Barrett Williams was the fifth generation of the Williams Family.
