Williams, 89, of Keatchie, were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Joe Harbour, pastor of Keatchie Baptist Church officiated. Graveside service was at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Caroline Baptist Church Cemetery in Saline, La. Mrs. Williams died at 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 1, 1984, at South Park Hospital in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Friendship, La., and had been a resident of Keatchie for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker, and member of the Gloster Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Garland T. Williams of Keatchie, La.; two sisters, Virta Sanderlin of Jonesboro, La., and Virgie Rogers of Saline, La.; one brother, Turner W. Trussell of Minden, La.; three grandchildren, Billy G. Williams of Keithville, La., Annette W. Mitchell of Converse, La., and Carolyn W. DeJean of Baton Rouge, La.; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were James Mitchell, Homer Beasley, Johnny Beasley, Johnny Myers, Roy Stewart, Tyler Adams, and Harold Mitchell.
