Mr. Williams was born in Bellwood, La., and lived in Rosepine for 37 years. He was a retired sawyer from the C. N. Lockwood Co. Services were held on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m., at Hixon's Chapel in DeRidder. Rev. William Buie, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rosepine, officiated. Interment was in the Middle Creek Cemetery in Florien. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Colburn Williams of Rosepine; one daughter, Mrs. Eula Mae Freeman of Rosepine; one son, James Edward Williams of Tonapah, Nevada; one sister, Mrs. Nora Weldon of Shreveport; two brothers, Floyd Williams of Provencal, and Hoyt Williams of Lake Charles; a half brother, Howard Williams of Jacksonville, Arkansas; a half sister, Mrs. Betty Ruth Dealen of Toledo, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
