Williams, Sr., 81, were held at King Chapel A. M. E. Church, on Sunday, August 16, 1987. He died on Friday morning, August 14, 1987, at 3:20 a.m., at his home at 535 McFarland St., in Many, after a brief illness. Survivors include seven sons, U. J. Williams, A. G. Williams Jr., Rev. Woodrow Williams, Bobby Williams, Samuel Williams, Winfred Williams, all of Many, and Rev. Hyman R. Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Medlock, Miss Betty J. Williams, Mrs. Rozella Black, Miss Dorothy N. Williams, and Mrs. Royce G. Davis, all of Many; 38 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; two sisters, Miss Ruby Alexandria, and Miss Sue Willie Thomas, both of Shreveport; five brothers, two of Many, and three of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Mr. Bobby J. Williams, Rev. Woodrow Williams, Samuel Williams, A. G. Williams, Rev. Hyman Williams, and Mr. Winfred W. Williams, all of his sons. Burial was in King Chapel A. M. E. Cemetery.
