The Rev. H. H. Tibbitts officiated. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. Mrs. Williams died Tuesday, June 16, 1987, at DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Williams was born in Shelby County, Texas, January 25, 1894. She was a member of the Mitchell Methodist Church since 1918. Her arrival in Sabine Parish was the beginning of a long life of community service and involvement. She is survived by three daughters, Gladys Mary Pattison of Sulphur, Marjorie Rhae Brown of Converse, and Faye C. Pillars of Anaheim, Calif.; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
