All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Esther Bush Williamson 19 Apr 1973 - Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Bush Williamson of Pleasant Hill were held Wednesday afternoon April 9 in the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill with Rev. Melton Prothro officiating. Mrs. Williamson passed away at the age of 92 years. She has been a teacher in the Pleasant Hill High School for many of her earlier years and her loving influence will long be remembered by hundreds of her former pupils. She was honored in 1967 by a large gathering of friends to pay her tribute and she was presented a plaque by the Lions Club of Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Williamson was next to the last member of the family of the late Rev. T. D. Bush, an early Baptist preacher in North Louisiana. She is survived by two sons: Dr. William N. Williamson and Alfred Williamson of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren, Dr. William R. Williamson of Shreveport, Charles "Chuck" Williamson, Baron and Bret Williamson, Mrs. Lynn Harville, Miss Kay Williamson all of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Ann Morris of Montgomery, Ala. and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were William R and Charles Williamson, Hudson Emmons, Johnny Murray, Jack Bridges, Jere Gregory, Nolan Rains and Sonny Hardee.
