Mr. Melton Marion Williams

  Funeral services for Mr. Melton Marion Williams, 92, were held
at 2 p.m., Monday, December 17, at United Pentecostal Church in
Many. Interment followed in Bethsadia Cemetery, under the
direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home. Bro. Freeman
officiated.

  Mr. Williams passed away at 5:30 a.m., December 16, in L. S.
Huckabay Memorial Hospital, Coushatta.

  He was born to Samuel Levy Williams and Cornelia McGee on March
15, 1898, and was a resident of Pleasant Hill. Mr. Williams was a
member of the Pentecostal church.

  Survivors include four sons, Luther Williams of Coushatta, S. L.
Williams of Pleasant Hill, M. D. Williams, also of Pleasant Hill,
and Thomas Williams of Winnfield; three daughters, Zora Vines of
Noble, Helen Hutto of Pleasant Hill, and Elvie Weatherly of
Wichita, Kansas; thirty three grandchildren; and a number of
great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
