Williams were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 1993, in the First Baptist Church in Leesville, with the Rev. Lionell Crowell, and Rev. Wallace Palmer, and Aubrey Boswell officiating. Burial followed in the Self Cemetery in Hornbeck, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Williams, 59, of Leesville, died at 5:30, Wednesday, July 7, 1993, in the St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mr. Williams served in the U. S. Army as a sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He is a graduate of Hornbeck High School, class of 1952, McNeese State University, and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as Minister of Music/Youth at the First Baptist Church in Westlake for 10 years and 3 months. He has been Minister of Music and Outreach for the last 23 years at the First Baptist Church in Leesville. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mrs. Patricia R. Williams of Leesville; one daughter, Mrs. Denise Campbell of Norcross, Ga.; two sons, J., and Jonathan Williams of Leesville; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Redden of Shreveport, Mrs. Velva Vincent of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Audrey Grant of Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorials to be made to B. B. McKinney Scholarship Fund of the Singing Ministers of Louisiana, and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Church Music Department.
