Floyd Charles Williams, 22, of Hornbeck, was killed July 12, in hostile action in Vietnam. Pvt. Williams parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Williams of Hornbeck, were notified of his death July 18. Pvt. Williams was a native of Hornbeck, and a graduate of Hornbeck High School. Funeral services were held July 21, at the Good Hope Baptist Church, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery near Anacoco. Other survivors include seven brothers, Lee Raymond Williams of Beaumont, Billy Fisher Williams, and Charles Tryon Williams, both of Anacoco, Duffie Joe Williams, Winston McArthur, James Fred Williams, and DeWitt Jeil Williams, all of Hornbeck; and one sister, Miss Shirley Madene Williams of Hornbeck.
