Williams, 71, of Marthaville, died Saturday, Aug. 26, in Zwolle, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 28, in the Bethsadia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell, and the Rev. Gale Green officiating. Burial was in the Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Walter Cartinez of Zwolle, Mrs. Aaron Miller of Robeline, Mrs. Winnie Simmons of Wenona, Ill., Mrs. Roy Philer of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. J. W. Brown of Sulphur; four sons, J. D. Williams of Zwolle, Edward C. Williams of Bakersfield, Henry Williams of Jasper, and Leon Williams of Beaumont; two brothers, Thomas Bass of Baton Rouge, and George Bass of Center, Tex.; 43 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
