Williams, 61, who died Thursday, Sept. 22, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at the First Baptist Church in Tyler, Tex. Dr. William M. Shamburger, pastor, officiated. Lloyd James Funeral Home directed arrangements. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Dr. Kelly Fitzgerald officiating. Mr. Williams died in a Tyler hospital, from injuries sustained in an industrial accident earlier this month. He was injured in a fall, while working at LaGloria Refinery. A native of Louisiana, Mr. Williams has been living in Tyler since 1947. He served as deacon in the Baptist Church the past 28 years, and was acting deacon with the First Baptist Church of Tyler. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Odie Brumley Williams of Tyler; three sons, Harold Williams of Longview, Tex., Clyde Williams of Tyler, and Glenn Williams of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Booth of Corpus Christi, Tex.; one brother, Jessie Williams of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. John Robinson of Coushatta, and Mrs. Bernard Dees of Vivian; and ten grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bob Thompson, Bill Davenport, Harold Goodman, D. L. McCullough, Ben Simmons, and Jerry York. Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Tyler were honorary pallbearers.
